Counselling during Covid-19

At present I am trying to keep my clients as safe as possible and regularly check in and ensure I am abiding by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy guidelines in regard to Covid-19.

What are my options while Covid-19 is still ongoing?

I am currently still offering all three methods of counselling online, telephone and face to face.  If you do however choose face to face I will for safety purposes check your temperature upon arrival, ask you to hand sanitise and may ask you to wear a mask. I also have a room which allows for two metres of social distancing, have a glass partition in the room and regularly disinfect the room before and after each and every client.

Given the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak there will naturally be quite an impact on peoples’ psychological and emotional states and as well as their relationships. It’s important for all of us to recognise the issues resulting from this pandemic and be open to reaching out to others to help reduce symptoms and gain support.
